For the layout file, I've made an executive decision, and created a
format for the name of the file, as follows:

"V"  - for VLC, of course, and also puts it or near the bottom of a
          alpha listing
"-"  - just a spacer for legibility
"K"  - the first initial of the person that last modified the layout.
"0"
"0"
"0"
"1"   - a 4 digit number with leading zeros, indicating the version
number of this file. Increment it with every save.
"R"  - your first initial

(of course, the extension remains .tdl all the time)

Example:

V-K0001R.tdl      - this is the initial file that Kevin created
and Robin modified and uploaded to Xdrive
V-R0002D.tdl      - Dean download's it, and adds baseplates
                             then uploads it to Xdrive
V-D0003K.tdl      - Kevin download's it, adds blue baseplates
                             then uploads it to Xdrive
etc.

Funky site... I've uploaded the file I did.

Excellent, but your filename wasn't quite right.  Not that this is
incredibly important, but It was V-D0002R.tdl and it should have been
V-R0002D.tdl.  See above.

But if we are going to go
studs it should be redone with proper baseplates. (I cheated on mine)

I'll get to work on doing this, using the above file as a starter, and
upload it pronto.  I think we should work from an initial basis of 10"
(32 stud) bp's, since all the road plates and most of the water plates
are this format.

Then we can have a better time with track. Then road (...) (24 years ago, 17-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)
