People-

This joystick controller idea is for a mammoth crane (Demag AC 500-1 SSL, for
more info check out the Terex-Demag website, look under literature, and click on
the Demag AC 500-1).

The reason I require four motors is so that each of the four outriggers can have
an independent control on how far to extend the inner mechanism. This may be
different from what you're talking about, but at first I thought of using two
sensors; one for the front two motors, the other for the rear two.

My next question deals with the motor. Is it possible for one motor to operate
20 pneumatic pistons? Most of these are extended pistons (pistons joined end to
end). Chris, you seem to know a lot about the motor and the electronics, maybe
you can help me out.

Chris- So I have to use two touch sensors and two light sensors to operate four motors (I read in an earlier message that to control four motors, one has to use two RCX bricks). When using the light sensors, what should I do? (21 years ago, 26-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
