Questionnaire:

The LUGNET rtlToronto newsgroup appears to have many lurkers…

I don't think I could really be considered a lurker... or a member of
rtlToronto... and I doubt any actual lurkers will bother to answer, so, you get
my answers, anyway...

developed a brief questionnaire:

?brief?

rtlToronto consists of people who are:

a) from diverse backgrounds, but have the LEGO hobby as a unifying interest
b) totally cool bunch of froods who know where their towels are
c) out of touch with the average AFOL.
d) a bunch of hopeless nerds who couldn’t build a MOC if their collective lives
depended on it

a & b.  Maybe c

The term ‘CalumBall’ means:

a) a good way to vent frustration at any given situation
b) a new sport that’s much akin to CalvinBall, a la ‘Calvin and Hobbes’ fame
c) A bright way to have the topics ‘paint chip’ ‘home school’ and ‘Nortel’ all
brought up in the same conversation
d) pushing Calum’s ‘buttons’ until he snaps

yes

Chris and Calum’s relationship is:

a) much like ‘Penn and Teller’s—both funny but one should always be quiet
b) a strictly professional one that’s none of your business!
c) Have nothing funny to add here
d) too nasty to discuss on a family newsgroup

a.  Yes, A.  please.

rtlToronto robot competitions are:

a) fun to prepare for, fun to compete in and just a fun time all around!
b) too hard for the average layperson
c) a great time to mock Chris
d) a great time to mock Chris (again)
e) When was the last time Bruce entered a competition?

a,b,c,c,d,d

and d

What’s the farthest anyone has ever come from to get to an rtlEvent:

a) Michigan
b) Seattle
c) Japan

Indiana is a little farther than Michigan, but not as far as Seattle.  So I'll
guess c

Calum and Chris are excellent leaders for the rtlToronto group:

false  :)

People attend rtlToronto events because:

a) they want to see nifty LEGO building techniques
b) they realize that rtlToronto is just a great crowd to hang out with
c) where else can you go to get your regular ‘fix’ for all things LEGOness?
d) Did I mention mocking Chris?
e) I'm so competitive, like to drive 10 hours (each way) to compete in a LEGO contest, even though the rules clearly state the goal is "not to win"

b, d & e

The guy who wrote this questionnaire should:

a) spend more time working at his job
b) build a robot for the upcoming rtlToronto ‘bot competition
c) get a layout designed for all these LEGO train shows coming up
d) spend less time in o-t.d

b.  NOT c
