No, no pics, but I've got a little LDraw render of the crankshaft
assembly at the bottom of the page, now.

It's pretty straightforward:  The 2x2 round plate locks the 4-long
vertical axle in place, and the crown gear stays fixed with respect to
the ground as a result.  As the frame of the ride rotates, the gear-8
part of the crankshaft is driven by the fixed crown gear.  The crank
itself (also visible in several pics) is that strange crankshaft piece
from many technic IC engine models.

The crank plugs into a 1x2 brick on the back of each figure; the figures
maintain their orientation using the antenna piece which goes through a
pair of 2x4 tech plates mounted on the roof of the ride.  The crank
completely supports the figure, as well as moving it.

You really have to see it in action.  Perhaps I'll put it on top of my
robot so people will have something to watch as Chris' bot struggles to
climb the hill.

That's pretty jeff! Any pics of the crank mechanism?
