| | | Is it possible to build subassemblies in MLCAD, and then insert them into an assembly? IE, working on a model of a CNC Pipe Bender. | | | | (...) Yes you can!!! Just create each assembly as a .dat of .mpd file. The nopen a new window and go to the add part menu item Edit, Add, Part (Its also a green 1 x 2 brick in the tool bar.) | | | | | | | (...) What you want to do is use multiparts. then when you change one of the subparts, it changes the main model too. It also keeps everything in one file. If you hate tutorials you might want to find a sample .mpd file and just look at it in the (...) (22 years ago, 28-Nov-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

The first comment line - "Modify" it and call it something descriptive, like "bookcase" or "lift arm" or what have you. This will save you grief (...)
