Is it possible to build subassemblies in MLCAD, and then insert them into an
assembly?

IE, working on a model of a CNC Pipe Bender.  I want the carriage (b/y
axes), bed, and bend arm assemblies to be separate, so they're easier to
work on.  Then I drop those three subs into one main assembly for the
complete model.

Can I do this?  This is how we do stuff in SolidWorks to break appart huge
projects into smaller, managable bites.  Speaking of bites,  I've lost the
apple that was siting on my desk.  Okay, I just found it, but it was on the
floor and now it's got fuzz where I bit into it.  Dammit.

(...) Yes you can!!! Just create each assembly as a .dat of .mpd file. The nopen a new window and go to the add part menu item Edit, Add, Part (Its also a green 1 x 2 brick in the tool bar.) When that windo opens you will see a little check box for (...) (22 years ago, 28-Nov-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
