What concerns me with this current thread is Steve previously posted the
"risks" of playing the game and the "lack of rewards" of competing.  I think

There are a couple different threads mixed here.  Sorry if I wasn't clear.

Chris and David ask if I would participate in an all out, unlimited battle bot style event, where the goal was to 'destroy' the other robot.

To that I say 'no'.

However, in the normal rtl events, there's not really that much at risk.  Sure, things can get broken, but that's not the goal.

I didn't want to suggest that the normal events "require" a prize.

Steve: I wonder if maybe I was not fully clear on the not-a-real-game battle bot lego style rules. the object of the battle bot game would be to "disable" the other robot, NOT to smash the RCX into little bits. granted if the bot got broke it (...)
