It turns out that the local telco (Bell) showed up, swapped out a wire at
the telephone pole, and all problems went away.
So what was it?
Network problem.
So it was a physical layer problem and not a virtual 1, 2, or 3 layer (boy
did I learn lots this week... ;) )
So there you are...

| So here I am at work in Burlington at 10:55 a.m., looking forward to dinner at Mels. However, by 11:00 a.m. on Friday the 13th (go figure), I was on the road to Windsor, Ontario (3 hours away).
