I'm thinking synchro would be a great way to go. I've never done one of
those platforms; they look really slick and condosive to drawing nice curves
or lines at weird angles, while being able to keep position.

I like the sound of this... I built a turtle a while ago and even made an Mlcad file. By the way, Iain or Dave, have you tried building my turtle yet?
