Well, so far this MacBook Pro has been pretty nice. I like the hardware and
base OS, they're well designed. I liked MacNQC, it works flawlessly with the
USB tower. It also took a while to get used to the touch pad. But now I can't
use a touchpad without that two finger scrolling feature.
There's a lot of crap in the Mac OS though...silly UI items that don't really
contribute to usability, but to eye candy. The other problem is that Apple
still doesn't offer an afforable expandable computer. They either want you in a
sealed box like an iMac or want you to pay out your rear for a Tower. There
should be an afforable midrange machine which has PCIe expansion and a couple of
drive bays, where you get to pick the display you want.
But overall, when I buy my next computer in four years, I will be seriously
considering a Mac.
