I thank you for admitting that this got way out of proportion.
I acknowledge that (as is always the danger with jokes) that while not
overstepping my authority at the time, as it was defined, my test/joke (of
temporarily revoking your posting privs in .foo) was not taken the way I
intended it to be. (and when a joke is not taken the way it's intended by the
recepient, that's usually the fault of the joke maker not the recepient)
I further acknowledge that you have a point about the line between words and
actions. The responsibility of admins, when acting as admins, is to be above
reproach, and I agree with that wholeheartedly, even if I don't agree that it's
necessarily valid in this particular instance.
