So the Hobby Show is Train(n), where (n) is what?

David, not that this is for the Hobby Show, but you were talking about
some layout changes.  Could you TrackDesigner those changes?  Let me
know if you need a base TDL file to work from.  I can send you the
layout as it stands now.

Jeff VW, and John,  I just remembered our problem with the angled
sections of track and what we need to do to solve them.  Originally I
realized the alignment of these angled section of track would be a bit
of a problem, but it would be easy to solve if the track was not fixed
to the bridges.  Then I promptly forgot that fact and built my bridge
and you guys built your bridges with the track fixed to the bridge.

We all need to remember to modify our bridges so the track floats on the
bridge, instead of being fixed to the structure.  This is going to be
particularly difficult for me as I used the track structurally and I'll
need to make the racer track float as well.

(...) I know for my layout at home that you can have a full stud gap between rails and the train goes over just fine. This is due to the 'overlap' of the connections. You just have to get power to the separate parts. I have the Train6 tdl--will show (...) (20 years ago, 12-Oct-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) My train tracks "float" on my bridge, just like last year (figures, since the bridge is the same). The bridge clears 11-stud wide trains, so it can definitely float sideways a little too, if required.... plus the bridge "floats" on the water (...)
