   (...) Come-on Chris, the 12 is exact and the inches is exact (25.4mm as a SI reference :). It is the term roughly that I wanted clarified. I'm here to help you. when the rules say 'roughly 12"' thats a nice way to cover our butt, and say that when fully streched out, the rope will be 12", BUT we have pointed out the natural curve of rope will make it sit a bit (...)
