I'd also like to suggest that you also put the state of the program in the LCD
display. That way if you miss the sound, you can still note the state.
I'm trying to help Chris with the move calculation of his robot in brickOS.
There are only a few stable states for the move algorithm:
wait - waiting for your turn
move - calculating your move
win
lose
tie
I display these strings in the LCD display.
Chris has been battling with installation of BrickOS on his end, so this effort
is waiting for debug.
If anyone else needs game play code, let me know. Chris and I offer it to
anyone that wants it, source and all.
Chris is doing the hardware control part in one RCX, and the move calculation
code in another. It uses simple IR messages to talk between the two RCX's.
If anyone is ready for this code it would be a huge help to us if you wanted to
test/use it. That way we can make forward progress on the debug while Chris
achieves the impossible of installing BrickOS on his geriatric laptop.
Please email us directly if you want the code.

| I'd like to suggest that every one sounds a tone at the end of their turn, and sounds a different tone to at the beginning their turn. Doesn't mater what it is, just that you recognize it. This will help us determine what is happing with turn (...) (21 years ago, 17-Jan-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
