(...) Well. That comes back to the question of "needing" a tachometer. I've noticed that like almost automatics have tachometers. (...) This is definitely Johns domain, but as far as I know, the W12 is just two VR6's stuck together like siamese twins. Its still a single crankshaft. I've read that VW/Audi had both a dual VR6 configuration used in some sort of prototype sports car as well as a true 12 cylinder where sets of three cylinders pushed a driveshaft. I think the Phaeton W12 is the former, but how do you sync and drive (...) (21 years ago, 2-Nov-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
