  Seasons Greetings from rtlToronto

Hi folks, On behalf of Chris and I, best wishes for the holiday season and a successful new year in 2003. It's been a good year for rtlToronto, being featured in both the National Post and the Toronto Star, going to BrickFest 2002, doing ProjectX, (...)   Re: wood vs Lego Box

(...) No, I think wood is easier to climb-it gives more traction for tires. The Lego boxes also deform, which the wood won't. Calum (22 years ago, 24-Dec-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  wood vs Lego Box

I'm off work for the Christmas break.... Kate has gone out with friends, I have time to work on my robot. To mess around with concepts i stacked a few lego box's to get close to 6" it has occurred to me that, may be a lego box is more "slick" than (...)   Re: [rtlToronto] rtlToronto Makes the Front Page. Literally.

(...) I got the printed edition... the story is awesome. I must say I was pretty startled when I saw the reporters at the Swiss Chalet. Had I known they were coming, I might have tried extra hard to bring something "bigger". I like the picture of (...) (22 years ago, 23-Dec-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) Incredible, Great work and nice networking! You guys really stayed true to the brick and gave a good amount of respect to the community. This’ll really be a great promotional tool for recruiting future enlistees in to our ‘army’…I mean group… (...) (22 years ago, 22-Dec-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.general)

  Re: Toronto Star tomorrow...

(...) Thanks! (...) We were approached by the Star by Chris Sorensen to do an article with them. They interviewed Chris and me on the phone, then came out to the December dinner at the local Swiss Chalet. A week later, the request came from the Star (...) Awesome! Great job on the Logo guys. The article was good, its just a shame there weren't any pictures of robots! A shot of Daves biped or Iains robot would have been nice. Also, there was no mention of the robot competitions or train shows. Great (...) (22 years ago, 22-Dec-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) <snip> Well, that explains the two mosaic Star logos. Nicely done, Calum--didn't take you long to get a web page done on it. And micely done on the two mosaics Derek, Jeff and Calum. Glad it all came together for the article! Dave K (22 years ago, 22-Dec-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: we're famous (again)

(...) The front page LEGO masthead is different than the logo that Calum, Derek and Jeff are holding on page A14 Did you guys build 2 logos? That must've taken a bit! My pic--well, he cut off the tower, which is the best part, but Simon was a nice (...) (22 years ago, 22-Dec-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
