  Re: Sumo-Train Competition

(...) Well, yes, true. You're envisioning the train motor being directly controlled by the onboard RCX. Takes lots of batteries (which is a standard way to do things) However one interesting twist would be to have the train motor be UNCONTROLLED, (...)   Re: Sumo-Train Competition

(...) That's what I was thinking in the original "spirit of the game". (...) The track (I think) is electricly isolated from each end...if there was a electrical connection, then the track would short out due to polarity. What about a switch? I (...)   Re: rtl12 Game Proposal

(...) I was in NYC today, arranged matters to swing by Astroland on Coney Island and Cyclone was closed! It only runs on weekends till 1 June. So much for adding a must have ride to my ride list. Sigh. I still have never ridden it. It's not that it (...) (22 years ago, 9-May-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: rtl12 Game Proposal

(...) Hardly seems like a good idea, does it?. That's why I said "loon" instead of loonie.. it was a riff on baby ducks, that's all. We can talk about why trademarks need to be taken seriously if they belong to tiny, powerless little organizations (...) (22 years ago, 9-May-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) Yeah, its called LegOS. I only realized this after project X, but according to some tests, LegOS runs about 100 times faster than the standard firmware. Check out this post: (URL) LegOS is worth the extra effort after all? Rob (22 years ago, 8-May-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Sumo-Train Competition

All right, I'm piping up. It sounds like a great idea, and a good excuse for me to get some train parts. I'm not clear on what Ben meant about the track configuration though. I was thinking that it could have two tracks in parallel, and they could (...) (22 years ago, 8-May-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: rtlToronto11 Event Rules Posted

(...) I guess its boils down to how many objective points one can get. Let's break down the game... hypothetically, in this type of layout you have 3 tables, 2 crossings, 1 flag (and a partrige in a pear-tree...) Since the "spirit of the game" is to (...)   Re: rtl12 Game Proposal

(...) Apologies for my lack of knowing your humour, but I can't ever tell. Some things which I would find ludicrous (reminding people about the trademark of Guild of Bricksmiths) you seem to take awfully seriously, so I figured you were actually (...)
