Re: Who is building a ministacker?

(...) I got confused by that. too. The rules say pained corners, and using Dave's playfield, plain plywood, 8x8. I thought Daves was 4x4, and painted grey. Thought RTl's was 8x8 painted grey... what is it? -Rob A. (20 years ago, 12-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Who is building a ministacker?

(...) Hey Rob, We're going with the 8x8 field, not the 4x4.   Re: Brick - plate plate - brick

(...) I warn you, if you think a block-stacker is parts-intensive, the GBC is far worse. Part of the problem is I now need >shudder< more system bricks (my 7-year-old son has them, not me), *and* more plates, 1x16 beams, etc., etc. Once you build a (...)   Re: Brick - plate plate - brick

(...) I'm pretty impressed by the fact they managed to bring down an Apple product to nearly afforable prices. $500 USD, given current exchange rates, is a steal. Of course, that doesn't include the pricey keyboard and mouse ($58!) or a display, and (...) (20 years ago, 12-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) Ummmmmm passes on said wager, mainly because it was just a joke. (...) ......and I would never wager on what anyone else is talking about. Half the time I rarely know what I am talking about, the other half of the time I'm sure I don't. (...) (...) (20 years ago, 12-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Brick - plate plate - brick

(...) He's too busy secretly drooling over Jobs' keynote today and pricing his new Mac mini. ;) Iain (me too!) (20 years ago, 12-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Brick - plate plate - brick

(...) Janey, I'll wager Chris is talking about the black magic (otherwise known as Technic) way of stuffing 2 layers of plates between each layer of bricks. But I've been wrong before... ROSCO (20 years ago, 12-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
