  Re: Train 1

(...) I'll second that motion. I won't be LEGO'd out 'til I'm dead. The only thing keeping me from Brickfest is the time & money. And as Dave has said, after Train1 I'm inspired to do much more, but wonder how I will ever find the time & resources (...) (23 years ago, 29-May-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  beverages

I am pretty sure (1) I will be in Toronto on Thursday nite this week. I know you all are between shows, and pretty busy. But if there's anyone that wants to get together (if only to see what I'm really like) I'd be delighted to stand you a beverage (...) (23 years ago, 29-May-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Train 1

(...) All Lego'd out? is there such a thing??? I'm inspired to do soooo many things now, just have to find the time in the next 11 days to get a 'bot together to kick heinie... and have to build modules, convince Calum to build a dcc motor or 2 for (...)   Re: Train 1

(...) I'm pretty open to sawing them open and soldering the N scale decoder in. Motors are pretty disposable as far as I'm concerned. In fact, I have more motors than locomotive models, so it's not a big deal. :) It's really the organizational issue (...) (23 years ago, 29-May-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Train wheels for technic?

Does Lego make train wheels that can be connected to a technic axle? I'd like to build a train, but I don't have the motors. The technic motors are just screaming to be used in such an application, but it seems the only things missing are flanged (...) (23 years ago, 29-May-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: so ya wanna go DCC

(...) For what it's worth, you need to disrupt power to both rails since the DCC controller has the option of running the engine backwards. Leaving one side connected to the motor will only alow you to control speed. Matthias Jetleb VA3-MWJ (23 years ago, 29-May-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Train 1

(...) Whoa, that's a little harsh. I can't speak of what you may have encountered in any of Larry's previous posts, but I thought the manner of his recent posts was enthusiastic and it sounded like he was genuinely trying to give some good (...)
