BTW the reason softwood lumber is a smaller size than what it really is, is because the lumber starts its life as a 1x2 (or whatever) then it DRIES and shrinks. this is (...)       (...) cause 1/2" is the measurement of the INSIDE of the copper pipe. the thickness of the copper plus the inside of the 1/2" hole makes it a 5/8" outside diameter. and i don't care what Martin says, :) i still think the wood shrinks. geesh, who (...)
