Steve,
I need to know what you want me to bring to Edmonton for the Calgary show.

Given the size and weight and hassle of the tables, my plan was to
follow the KISS rule and just use rented tables from Calgary.  An
extension of that is that your grain tower would be a static model only.

Plastic tablecloths - if you can pick up enough more of them that match,
great.  Otherwise (if they're only $2) I'll get enough to make a uniform skirt.

Transformers - Whomever has some to donate.  Perhaps one from James Powell,
one from Michel, and one from a 4565 set.  I might be able to get one
"on sale" from the USA, and we could reduce the cost even more if we
sold off / drafted off some of the pieces amongst ourselves. (leaving behind
the essentials for the kid's play area of course)  A bunch of <set:3737>
train accessory packs might be the best way to go though.  I think I can
limit the speed safely without resorting to "the screw method".  Also, I have
yet to hear back from LEGO - I asked if any "train parts" will be in the "K8".

Rope and poles - You have a 50' rope already, right?  Please add at least
100' to it.  I had almost 100 blue buckets but gave them away to a daycare.
We would need a good dozen or so of them - I still have a few, and could
use the 4565 box for storage instead of a couple of buckets.  A few more
solid train or Technic boxes  ;-)  and might be able to come up with a full
dozen, but they wouldn't all be the same size (some are 1000 piece).

NALug bank account and GETS funds - I think you should keep more of it.
Did you cover your costs for gas, lumber, paint, dinner with wife, etc.?
A NALug bank account would be a big hassle - better to appoint a club
treasurer and have him use his own account and keep good records.
John is central and more organized than me - I nominate him.   :-)

As for actual LEGO - Basically all of it.  8-)
We need to ensure an accurate inventory of track count and trains
and buildings.  Same with the monorail, but I'm focusing on train
stuff.  <gasp>  Yeah - yeah - Don't act so surprised.  ;-)
All your trains couldn't fit on the track at the GETS layout.  Do you
have a lot more track?  My biggest need is track - I can use up all
that anybody can spare.  For sure all the intermodal stuff, and the
tanker stuff would be great too.  Perhaps John could modify (ie. elevate)
the grain elevator so that it could be placed on a normal table and
still function - that would make it much more flexible placement-wise.
Keep your older/more valuable/more fragile trains at home just in case.

Leaflet/handout - Can you e-mail it to me?  I'd like to add some links to it.
I don't think we should go to the expense of color - better enough B&W
for everyone who wants one than too few color versions.  (Remember,
there's going to be ten thousand people coming through this show.)

Power bar, extension cord, paint - No to the bar and the paint, yes to
the extension cord if it's quite long - they recommend 100'.

Kid's play tables - Isn't eaves-trough fairly pricey?  Where and how
would they be stored?  Hold on this until I can find out more info.

5.  With the tables all at the same level, do you want the port sets?
Port sets?

Whew - Quite the list - Did I miss anything?

(...) I have a bunch of track that can be borrowed (sniff - all my brand new track!). Nowhere near as much as Michel, but its already in the city. I've got essentially 4 ovals and 2 of the big track expansion packs. Unfortunately, I don't have (...) (24 years ago, 21-Dec-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

Steve, I need to know what you want me to bring to Edmonton for the Calgary show. So far I will bring the 1. Plastic tablecloths for skirting, but not the stappler or pliers. 2. Two transformers, with wall adapters, to be speed limited with the (...) (24 years ago, 20-Dec-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug)
