Re: NALUG Train Show - Mission report

(...) Well, I forgot my camera, and it's not as good as Chris', Kevins, and James', so I guess it's up to me to use words instead of pictures. Friday I leave work early in the hopes of having enough time to finish getting things ready for the show. (...) (24 years ago, 25-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug, lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org)

Re: NALUG takes 2nd at Great Edmonton Train Show

(...) well, now that I'm awake, I'll give it a shot. :) The layout was 90" by 120", pretty small, really. As a result it was a bit cramped, especially for whoever was operating at the time. Next time around we should be able to get more layout space (...) (24 years ago, 25-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug, lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org)

Fantastic job, NALUG members! When do we get a show report? Size of layout, unique features, who participated, anecdotes, new ideas discussed...... dan parker PNLTC (24 years ago, 25-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug, lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org)

(...) That same warning holds true with my batch, which is located here: (URL) mostly between 75k and 140k in size. And the movies are here: (URL) bigred_002, and viewfrmjjmp are huge files - around 5MB. The rest range from 120k to 688k. Any (...)   NALUG takes 2nd at Great Edmonton Train Show

(film at 11) ;) The long and short of it is that they were very impressed, and we got invited down to Supertrain 2001 in Calgary - The Calgary folks implied that we could have as much layout space as we wanted. :) The top questions were, of course: (...)   Early look at LEGO Arch

Here’s some early development photos of my arch: (URL) intend to use this principal (developed with help from my AFOL/Engineer brother Dallas) to make models of bridges and other StRuCtures, and sell them as BrickSmith kits.   Re: work schedule for the show

(...) Checking the bus maps and schedules, it looks like I should be OK for just about any time. The number 9 is my main bus heading north, and it goes to Kingsway shopping center, which looks to be about a 3 or 4 block walk from the show site. So, (...)   Re: Train show details

(...) lol :-) When you look at the "Sept15" layout, remember that the four monorail segments over the water are the bridge. It would span from the corner at the top right (by the mountain) to the edge of the container area. I'll have to watch the (...) (24 years ago, 16-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug)
