Hi all!

In addition to Jude's pics, I've added 145 more pics from our 1st MonLUG
train show held last weekend.

Enjoy and let us know what you think!

again...very awesome pictures.
extremely nice contruction and a very detailed but eye-friendly display.

Stuff I really loved.....

a) Fire house.... nice original classic design - extremely realistic
(this one looks like one in NYC)

b) Hospital.... I didn't think a hospital should have all those windows, but
I guess its one way of allowing viewers to see the "action" inside!! :)
Impressive design, none the less, and I really enjoyed the moving the patient
on the roof from the helicopter....

c) Guys working on tunnel (the whole mountain scene is beyond words)
my first thoughts was shouldn't Chris (Magno from rtl) be there helping with
the pyro!!! :)

d) The long metroliner!!!  This is kind of what I was thinking...  I really
enjoyed the 5 odd club cars at the front.  Nice touch, especially with the
genesis engine at the front.

e) The church / cathedral ... reminded me of going to Quebec City and seeing
the large cathedral there... Ste Catharine??? (forget the name of the
cathedral).... a ways outside Quebec City.  (Impressive contruction design)

f) The monorail layout.....it is nice, but not distracting....nice design
on the station.....all the styling from the 6399 with modification of the
black supports....real nice touch.

there are other impressive things, but these are really what caught my eye.
I am slightly jealous that a) I didn't get to go
                           b) I didn't get to bring some rolling stock for the
                           large metroliner!!! :)

Stuff to think about..... I think that a montreal-based event would probably
do pretty good done again, or if it was hyped up a bit more...
more of the local (Canadian) "trainheads" like myself would come.

also, it looks like you guys are thinking more ahead to the future, and
trying to bring about a Canada lego fest.

The Toronto group as a whole has always thought of itself as the site of
the fest, because of its member base (and the "lurker factor" <1>)
....but I think Ottawa might be more "central", and it might allow a better
over-all display for the event.

Last comment, as I said at the beginning, the display was very eye-friendly.
I think your display is very well laid out, and wish this kind of overall
design would happen in the future rtl events (or should I say TOMLUG events).

<1> as with Lugnet itself, I am sure the ratio between lego enthusiasts
not using lugnet to those using lugnet is greater than 100 to 1.
I am sure there are those in "Ontario-Quebec corridor" that would come to
a large-scale lego event, if it was advertized/hyped enough.
