Hi!
Calum Tsang and myself are visiting MonLUG this coming weekend (I will be
bringing my EluraCar, flatbed train car with mounting hardware to accomidate
Canon ELURA 2 MiniDV Camcorder), and we are really excited about it!
I just wanted to confirm the location and times of some things so I can
better plan what hotel we are going to stay at.
From what I can tell, the nearest STCUM Metro station to the Georges-Vanier
school, in Laval (which is where I understnad the show will be) is Saint
Michel, but I could be wrong on that. I say this because I do plan on
spending a good part of the weekend also riding the entire Metro, visiting
all the stations on my list of Must-See ones. :)
The directions I've got so far show we should take Hwy. 25 to the De la
Concorde West exit. But I can't quite find that on my map! I have found the
address of the school (3995 Levesque) with MapQuest but I am not sure quite
if it is accurate or not.
I am under the belief that the best way to get to the Laval area for us from
Toronto is to continue East on Highway 401 until we get to Quebec. Then I
think we take the Hwy. 20. But from there I am a little bit unsure of the
best route to the school.
We will be coming up Friday afternoon, I think we could be in Montreal at
about dinner time or maybe just a little bit after. Is everyone seting up on
Friday, and if so would you guys like some help? If not, then I guess that
might be a good time to ride the Metro a bit. I know I am going to be very
anxious to be doing that. :)
I know Calum and I are very excited to be able to come down and see everyone
again, espically after Pierre, Kevin, and Martin were able to come to the
train show here in Toronto.
We can't wait! Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me with
directions...!

| Hi Iain (...) I don't know about bus line but the nearest bridge is Pie IX. Have no idea about buses in Laval. (...) From Toronto 401 become 20 on Quebec, continue to the hwy 40, take hwy 13 north then hwy 440 east until hwy 25 then exit at "La (...) (23 years ago, 4-Nov-01, to lugnet.org.ca.monlug)
