Re: Formal Lugnet memberships from Aus...

(...) Does Todd look after Lugnet in his spare time?(WOW!) This is by far the best forum I've ever seen. I wish i could model a few things that would be handy for my work based on something like Lugnet. I haven't signed up yet, but will do soon, and (...)   Parts For Trade

As a result of too many <set:1186>, I've got a heap of misc. parts for trade. I'll html a list sometime in the future but for now I'll just post teh info here. I've also included a short want list so if you've got what I'm after and want what I've (...) (24 years ago, 27-Jun-00, to lugnet.org.au)

(...) Get a US$ money order(Western Union) from the local Post Office. I get charged $8 AUD plus like Richard said the exchange rate will probably favour them, but that's how they make money. $10 US is not much at all for using Lugnet, if you ask me (...)   RE: Formal Lugnet memberships from Aus...

(...) Just a minor note...I believe Larry is slowly getting ready to get out of factoring [I seem to remember August being mentioned in connection with this], so this avenue won't be open for much longer. Also, as he is currently touring europe, he (...) (24 years ago, 27-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

Re: Formal Lugnet memberships from Aus...

(...) I sent him a USD money order. You get these from your local post office. From memory they cost about $6. The exchange rate they use to convert the USD is a bit bizarre - sometimes I have done better than market, more often than not they sting (...)   Re: Formal Lugnet memberships from Aus...

(...) I joined using LarryP's factoring services. Our illustrious persona non grata MarkH is the Australian factor. Best way I know for getting small amounts of money to the US for this sort of thing. Mind you I have never logged on using my (...) (24 years ago, 27-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

RE: Formal Lugnet memberships from Aus...

Well, I can't speak for anyone else, but the reasons I haven't joined is that I had intended joining this year [last year I was at uni and didn't have all that much extra cash] and had forgotten. [plus getting $US is extremely expensive from a (...) (24 years ago, 27-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

  Formal Lugnet memberships from Aus...

Hi all, For those Aussie's amongst us who have joined Lugnet formally (paid the membership fee) a couple of questions... How did you go about paying? Was it a hassle? Is there an easier, cheaper way? What amount did you end up sending (unless you (...) (24 years ago, 27-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)
