What about the Lego World Shop structure?  I didn't buy anything from
them but I was under the impression that they shipped from overseas bypassing
LA (I may well be wrong), we could definitely buy from them though.
Their site has an under construction reopening "late summer 2000" message
which fits with Lego Direct's supposed September launch, although it depends
on whether legoworldshop.com will continue with the Mindstorms (and Technic?)
only range or will be the shop window for the lot.

If it was all hunky dory, why not keep it running until (...) (24 years ago, 2-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

Therefore, Lego S@H in Australia and/or Lego Direct in Australia will NOT bypass Lego (...) (24 years ago, 2-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)
