Target pricing (was Re: Target 20% off Lego)

(...) I used to be under that impression but I'm now not so sure, over time I've seen sufficient differences between Sydney and Hobart Target Lego* pricing to call this in to doubt. I would still back Tas and Vic being on the same pricing inventory (...) (24 years ago, 19-Feb-01, to lugnet.org.au, lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Target 20% off Lego

(...) It didn't work at the Target I went to tonight, I will try a different one tomorrow. If anyone else has any luck please report back, at $10 they are really good value, but not ~$50. Martin (S) (24 years ago, 16-Feb-01, to lugnet.org.au, lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Target 20% off Lego

(...) IIRC Target has a *centralised price inventory for the whole country*. Get your skates on people -- sale ends tomorrow!!! *Wonder if anything else has been reduced to a ridiculous price? *Are the Technic monstrosities worth even $10?? Maybe (...)   Re: Target 20% off Lego

Went to Target Hobart yesterday. Had some new Duplo, Life on Mars and Star Wars Technic sets in. Decided to buy the Star Wars Stormtrooper, priced at $47.95, went to the checkout and it scanned for $10.07, there fore quickly went back and bought (...) (24 years ago, 16-Feb-01, to lugnet.org.au)

Re: It should be a Target 20% off all Lego

Just an update, Target Hobart now has some new stock (some Duplo/LOM/Star Wars but not the complete range of any of it), and that 20% off is still happening until Saturday. Deidre drb@tasmail.com (24 years ago, 15-Feb-01, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

Re: It should be a Target 20% off all Lego

(...) It was 20% off at the Melbourne city store today. I got the last droid escape, and I think that was also the last of the new SW sets. They only had a few of the LOM sets left. Martin (S) (24 years ago, 13-Feb-01, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

Re: It should be a Target 20% off all Lego

Good news - it IS a 20% off all Lego sale! Confirmed in Tas, we've also got a confirmation from Melbourne (Ben W). It's a national* catalogue, also on the website. Unfortunately, no 2001 stock at my Target, oh well. *I haven't checked the fine print (...) (24 years ago, 13-Feb-01, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

Re: Target 20% off ALL Lego

(...) Yep, 20% off everything [at least in Box Hill :) ] Benjamin Whytcross (24 years ago, 12-Feb-01, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

Re: Not a Target 20% off all(?) Lego

(...) I'll see how I go in Hobart tomorrow, public holiday for S. Tas today. Unlikely to be any new stock yet though. I'll let you all know, but by the sounds of things don't hold your breath :( Deidre drb@tasmail.com (24 years ago, 12-Feb-01, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

Not a Target 20% off all(?) Lego

(...) No dice. :( There were no signs up (usually there are for sales) and the prices on the couple of sets I checked were (IIRC,RRP) the same. Someone might like to nail them on ambiguous wording though, see wether some poor checkout will crack and (...) (24 years ago, 12-Feb-01, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

Re: Target 20% off all(?) Lego

(...) Hmmm, 20% off new SW and LOM sets... Tell us how you get on. Martin (S) (24 years ago, 12-Feb-01, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

  Target 20% off all(?) Lego

Target catalogue, inside back cover "20% off Lego range. Lego Duplo or basic bucket. Save $4.45 now $17.50 ea." That's the small green Duplo bucket and small blue System bucket (4122) I'm taking that as 20% off all Lego with two examples, although (...)   Re: Looking for 6434 Roadside Repair

(...) Mmmm...this one might be tricky, can't remember seeing too many about last year. Town sets must be popular gifts. Eyes open, radar on. (24 years ago, 11-Feb-01, to lugnet.org.au)

  Looking for 6434 Roadside Repair

Hi, Any sightings of 6434 Roadside Repair (City 1999)? At the moment I'm just interested in a store name and location. Thanks for any info! Deidre drb@tasmail.com (24 years ago, 11-Feb-01, to lugnet.org.au)

  Collection remnants for sale

For anyone interested, I have the following remnants of several collections for sale: Adventurers: 5928 complete, with instructions [I would prefer to keep the figs torso, but can enclose a flying-jacket torso in exchange] Aqua-zone: 6100 complete, (...)   Re: Item Description ???

(...) It's probably just basic bricks otherwise they'd probably mention "farm animals" (or whatever). (...) Cunnigham's Buy and Sell 03 63264360, 367 Invermay Rd, Invermay (Launceston) 7248. Sounds like a 2nd hand shop, never heard of them. (...) (...) (24 years ago, 10-Feb-01, to lugnet.org.au)

  Re: Item Description ???

I fear you are dealing with someone who doesn't know that there is more than one Duplo set :-) I'm sure if you contact them, you will get told that the set comes in a plastic bucket (or maybe in a cardboard box) and has lots of plastic bricks (...) (24 years ago, 9-Feb-01, to lugnet.org.au)

  Re: Item Description ???

(...) Maybe when you win the auction, you tell them what set you would like. Martin (24 years ago, 9-Feb-01, to lugnet.org.au)

  Re: Item Description ???

(...) Or maybe e-mail. Phonings probably not an option, as the number is invalid (11 digits!!) You could try the phone book though. (...) Aaaah. That explains it! <Lots of in-bred jokes censored>. (...) Neither have I. But I've been to Launceston, (...) (24 years ago, 9-Feb-01, to lugnet.org.au)
