What type of LUG marker? (was Re: New Mosaic: Map of the USA)

Hm. Interesting thought. I'd prefer flags because they take up less real estate on the map (and if we have a lot of attendees from any given area, the map will be cluttered there.) But tiles would stay on more easily and would be less likely to get (...) (23 years ago, 13-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.events.brickswest, lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.org)

  Re: Roberson Toy Train Show

(...) Best to post this to trains.org as that's where the other train clubs cross post stuff. Succinctly: If you go for contest, you are competing for a prize with/against the other layouts that selected contest as their choice. The rules and (...)   MichLUG Logo Contest

For some time we have been using a MichLUG logo (1) that has been sort of a placeholder until we can up with something better. Now is that time. We want a new, nice logo that will look great on a shirt. Something that will hold its own against the (...)   Re: NELUG welcomes your participation in the Boston area Festival of Trees

(...) Hey Eric, sounds good, hope your show works out as well for the NELUG as it has for the NGLTC. And yes, if other clubs would like to contribute ornaments to our display this year that would be great, more the better. I made the offer last year (...)   Don't have to about LEGO to be geeky...

I guess any group with LUG in the title is full of "geeks", just doesn't have to be about LEGO. (URL) (23 years ago, 15-Oct-02, to lugnet.off-topic.fun, lugnet.org)

  Monorail roll call

Wow, the moonbase layout at NWBrickCon was a terrific success!!! The monorail running throughout it was a huge crowd pleaser, especially for young girls and boys, who actually fixated their attention for minutes on end. I've got a fair amount of (...)   Re: Definitions: LUG or LTC

(...) Just to add to this, the Moonbase Project and the walled town at the recent Brickfest are examples of Space and Castle group projects. Also Brickwars games tend to fall into one of these (or WWII-era) genres. So there is some evidence of (...) (23 years ago, 5-Sep-02, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.org)

Hi, One note of compartmentalized dorkism, I've cross-posted to lugnet.org since this is looking for thoughts on orgs.   Re: NWBrickCon

(...) Is there any interest in the Pirate Game for this event? Flush off the success of the game at BrickFest, I'd love to organize a game for NWBrickCon (and I know there's at least a couple Pirate fans around). Frank (23 years ago, 25-Jul-02, to lugnet.events, lugnet.org, lugnet.pirates)
