Yes, I have been relocated a few times.
Expect the employer to pay for moving basic household goods.
Depending on how hard up they are for your skills, they may also pay for...
o temporary living accomadations (1 week - 3 months, it varies)
o 1 or 2 househunting trips to the new location
o some other things I cannot recall at the momment
In extreme cases, I have heard of new employers assisting in getting
your old house sold (if you had one).
Keep in mind that relocation expenses are usually a liability to you
until you have worked for an employer for a minimum period of time. That
is, if you don't stay with them, you have to pay it back. My last
go-round, it was 100% for the first 12 months and 50% for the next 12 months.
