According to starwars.com it is 12.800 meters:

Universe. The latest measurements peg the craft at about 12,800 meters. The
miniature used for The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi was 282
centimeters long."

This article: http://www.theforce.net/swtc/ssd5mile.html gives it as ~17.6km,
and states:
"2004: The reference book Inside the Worlds of Star Wars: Trilogy by James
Luceno corrects the record of the Executor's length: nearly a dozen times the
length of a star destroyer. In other words, it is at least 11 miles long, but
not quite 12 miles. All newer sources should include the corrected length."

11 miles = 17.7km.  It's one of those things people are going to disagree about,
I guess.  Anyhow, regardless of size, it'd have to be in a pretty low orbit (or
atmospheric, even) to appear as large and impressive as the image I have in my
"mind's eye."
