Yeah, but with 97% of machines running MS OSes, I think the ISPs are
sincere in saying that the main purpose of blocking port 25 is to stop the
onslaught of Windows-bourne trojans/worms/etc. I know some *better*
solutions, but they're not going to happen anytime soon. :)

0% of my time -- not *my* problem. But, before the big RIAA lawsuit fuss,
it was the majority of our bandwidth. It's still a significant portion,
but much more spread out over different services. And like I said, there's
lots of bandwidth.
