Tim: I ask stupid questions all the time, but this one was almost too easy to answer -- and I don't even care except that I thought it might prove challenging since you couldn't find it! ::sigh:: Join Associates (URL) Why Join?   Amazon Referrer?

  Variable response from web host?

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about what's going on with my website... (URL) it's working, it works fast. However, it often stops downloading the images halfway through through the page.   Re: Website Host speeds

(...) No good -- some of the listed sites have a firewall which blocks (normal) ping and traceroute. You could use a tool that does TCP "pings" using the http port, but probably actual file download speed is the number you want to measure anyway. (21 years ago, 9-Sep-03, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)
