Actually Netscape 3 is an amazingly fast browser. Runs circles
around later versions and Mozilla and IE. There relatively
few sites that are unusable because of javascript or other missing/
incompatable features. The news reader was the best that Netscape
ever produced. I still use Netscape 3 for newsgroups. I also use
it on slower machines. Mozilla has made huge jumps in performance
starting with 0.7, but it's still dog slow. The developers should be
forced to use Pentium 166's with 32 megs of ram.
While I'm ranting about Mozilla, I have to say I really *really* hate
"moving things around on the screen after they are displayed". It looks
really sloppy. I think it's supposed to actually be a feature but I consider
it a huge bug.

I actually use it on my P75/32mb Libretto. It's not too bad -- main problem (...) (24 years ago, 17-Feb-01, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)
