Re: What if Steve Jobs ran The LEGO Company?

(...) Alot of transparent bricks :) Seriously -- he would try to run the company with an iron fist but not have a clue about what they actually do (Im sorry -- thats Pixar!!) He would cancel every product and project that was in place before he took (...) (24 years ago, 4-Feb-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: From the first LEGO(r) Train Summit: LEGO(r) Trains are alive and well

(...) Steve Jobs? The man who thought that no one would ever need to add anything to the original Mac so he sealed the case. If he ran LEGO we might never be able to get into the the box to play with the LEGO. (I know, not a great analogy, but I am (...) (24 years ago, 4-Feb-01, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: What if Steve Jobs ran The LEGO Company?

(...) He'd have let Bill Gates steal the idea for the brick and MicroBlok would be the king of the building block empire. Microblok would make inferior products, but would force all toy buyers to also purchase their product. Meanwhile, Steve's Lego (...)   What if Steve Jobs ran The LEGO Company?

What if Steve Jobs ran The LEGO Company? What would be different? What would be the same? What would the software titles be like? What would the website be like? What would the idea books be like? What would the overall product designs be like? How (...) (24 years ago, 4-Feb-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: Geeks and Toys on Netslaves

Re: Geeks and Toys on Netslaves

(...) Did he speak, or was it a voice over that sounded kinda electronically enhanced? Just wondering... Aaron (once squashed by Darth at a convention when I was wee, did not speak. Either of us.) (24 years ago, 1-Feb-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: Geeks and Toys on Netslaves

(...) Yeah, it's the scene where Leia is screaming "Luke, it's a trap!" and the officer who uses her for a shield is Jeremy Bulloch. ~Mark "Muffin Head" Sandlin (24 years ago, 31-Jan-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: Geeks and Toys on Netslaves

If I'm not mistaken, which I ususally am, Jeremy Bulloch was the guy who ran around as Boba Fett in Star Wars. I think he also was some sort of Imperial officer somewhere in the background somewhere. Specific, aren't I? ;-) -Adam (...) (24 years ago, 31-Jan-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: Geeks and Toys on Netslaves

(...) I'm saying "Jeremy who?" *and* I can't remember the event -- it must've been really strong beer. Cheers, - jsproat (24 years ago, 31-Jan-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: Geeks and Toys on Netslaves

(...) Oh yeah? Well, *I* have Jeremy Bulloch's autograph that I got from him at a SciFi Con *and* I had a beer with him in the hotel bar afterwards. So there. (If you're saying "Jeremy who?" you aren't nearly geeky enough) ~Mark "Muffin Head" Sandlin (24 years ago, 31-Jan-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.geek)

On the other hand, you didn't write it as a math equation in RPN, so you can still be turned from the Geek side of the force... -JDF [who can be described as most of the things you listed, though my leatherman is full-sized and my (...)   Re: Brickgame [connect 4] algorithm

(...) Cool! I rather imagined that such might be possible-- And actually I suppose it wouldn't be *all* that difficult to write an algorithm to prove so, seeing that a game lasts no longer than 49 moves, and at each step, there are a max of 8 moves. (...) (24 years ago, 31-Jan-01, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: Brickgame [connect 4] algorithm

  Re: Brickgame [connect 4] algorithm
