put these lines in your ~/.slrnrc file:
hostname "io.com"
set username "jsproat"
set realname" Sproaticus"
you'll probably also want the 'set custom_headers "X-Real-Life-Name: your
name here"', too, if you don't already have it.
you might have to reverse the values of username and realname, but .. i
think i have it right. good luck. :)

My nntp "From:" header usually looks like this: From: "Sproaticus" <jsproat@io.com> ...but for some reason, slrn seems to want to do this: From: Sproaticus@yo-yo.pro...novell.com (Sproaticus) ...and won't let me change it. This header is (...) (24 years ago, 29-Jun-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek, lugnet.admin.nntp)
