well, I'm biased, but the only dist I've any experience with is
Redhat... If you have background in unix, you should be fine figuring
out RH...

definitely possible to have both win98/linux installed on the same comp,
and to do that you have to install win98 first - so you have half the
work done :) Just make sure you know what space of your drive you want
to allocate for linux, since you'll probably want to reformat that to
ext2 filesystem...
