(...) heheh. that's almost the exact situation we have here. 486/25 running RH6.0 (6.1 won't install, didn't have time to get it to yet), compared to PIII/500 running win95... (...) not sure yet (only tried it today, after burning a CD at work), and the first thing I get asked after the bootloader is "please insert your driver disk". (...) I think that they have in fact removed a few things from the 6.1 installl disk (it's a pretty tight squeeze), but it shouldn't have been anything remotely mainstream. (...) yah, that fits my experience with their install - you say that the 6.2 isn't any better? I havn't tried it yet... (...) nod - I ran into that trying to upgrade 6.0 to 6.1 in place, and failing misrably... ended up going a full install. (yay (...) (25 years ago, 8-Mar-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)
