IIRC, the kernel comes with one, the readonly isn't even experimental
- the readwrite is...  just grab the latest and recompile :)

(...) to (...) Yep, it's in the 2.2 kernel. I assume that the write support will no longer by experiemental in the upcomming 2.4 kernel, but until then make sure you can recover from a trashed partition. I've tried it in readonly mode breifly, with (...) (24 years ago, 1-Feb-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)
