  monitor

Does anyone know a easy way to remove a scratch from the surface of a computer monitor? Or is it time to get a new one... -chris (24 years ago, 15-Nov-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: A heirarchical database question

(...) What you've basically got there is a linked list. Although this works well when running through memory, I've found that it's costly if dealing with SQL queries. Imagine something that's nested ten levels deep -- you'll have to make 10 (...) (24 years ago, 15-Nov-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  A heirarchical database question

Hi: Here is a question for the DB experts: Say you had some data that was heirarchical, e.g. a list of Lego Themes: -- System ----- Aquazone ---...--- Aquasharks What would be the best way to describe it in a DB table? Would this work OK: ---...--- (...) (24 years ago, 15-Nov-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: PNG and Web Development

(...) All modern browsers support it, but to varying degrees. If you're not using the fancy features, it'll be fine. (24 years ago, 12-Nov-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  PNG and Web Development

I have a quick question for those of you who know more about browsers than I ever will. Is the PNG format supported widely enough to design an effective site with that as the image format for the graphics? I like how it handles, and want to use it, (...)   Re: How to maximize 90-piece bags?

(...) I don't think this will be any more difficult than any other S@H order with a variety of items. My guess is that you'll find that each bag has a "set" number on it, and you'll see those set numbers on your invoice. Then the only custom thing (...)   Re: Lego Mosaic Customer Service call

Just as a side note to this, the reason that they are calling to check multiple orders is for verification/fraud protection purposes. They want to verify that you really wanted that many before any charges are made, since the system is new. Jake (...) (24 years ago, 9-Nov-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek, lugnet.lego.direct)

  Lego Mosaic Customer Service call

Hey, everybody - I ordered 3 mosaics today, and I just got a call from S@H customer service checking to see if they were all real or if I had accidentally duplicated an order. (...) basic (...) The only Law of Gravity is that it exists. Many *theories* of gravity of been used to explain it, Relativity being one of the most recent (prior to that, Isaac Newton's was used). Paul Davidson (24 years ago, 9-Nov-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek, lugnet.space)
