I have a quick question for those of you who know more about browsers than I
ever will.  Is the PNG format supported widely enough to design an effective
site with that as the image format for the graphics?  I like how it handles,
and want to use it, but don't want to run into compatibility problems.

I'd appreciate a quick response, because I want/need to have this project
done by the beginning of the week.

(...) All modern browsers support it, but to varying degrees. If you're not using the fancy features, it'll be fine. (24 years ago, 12-Nov-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)
