(...) Hmm.. was it formatted with a program of some kind? (Like it was written for writing CD-R's?) If it is an audio CD, it sometimes does not put that track marker on it to signifyh the end of the CD. I have had that problem before. I know the HP (...) Hi, I tried to access a CD-R with the CD-ROM. It failed to access and locked up. When I restart the system, the "E:\" choice is unavailable in the explorer. Anybody know what I should do to recover from this situation? This is Windows NT on a Compaq (...) (24 years ago, 31-May-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

But, since it's PnP, if the card is supported in Linux, Linux should theoretically be able to reconfigure it (...) No consensus. They're both not (...)
