Arrive at Farmer Maggots. Walk some.
Arrive at edge of Old Forest. Escape before attack of Black Riders.

And Goldberry. Thankfully this is excised from the movie. I much prefer
Tim Benzedrine from "Bored of the Rings". Adds more significance to Farmer
Maggot's Magic Mushrooms. :-)

Captured by Barrow Wights. Freed by Tom Bombadil, acquire some important items.

Dodge Black Riders again. Acquire Bill the Pony.

Black Riders attack! Frodo wounded, begins to fade into shadow world.
Geeezzzzzzzzzz.

They meet Glorfindel. Ride Hell-for-Leather with Black Riders in hot pursuit.
Open to the map: note current location. Find Mount Doom. Extrapolate how

flashbacks and explanations, but 100 pages to make it a few hundred yards?!?
No, I'm not joking or exaggerating!
