Are you sure that this isn't the BBC television mini-series? If so, you're
right: it's very poor. You can also get the original radio show on tape (or
CD, for that matter). It's better than the TV show, but personally I like
the books best. I'm pretty sure there hasn't been a movie yet -- but
you heard correctly -- one is in the works.
'Course, the movie I'm waiting for is Good Omens. Terry Pratchett + Neil
Gaiman + Terry Gilliam = must be cool.
