I always enjoyed the trolley.
Model Railroader magazine once had a short article. The opening scene
where the neighborhood is shown was shot using a model town built in HO
scale.
But I would probably trace my love of trains to riding into Boston on
the comuter rail and subway/trolley with my mom occaisionally when she
was still in school, and that also is one of the things which kicked off
my love of computers. I remember learning binary on the Green Line
subway (presumably riding a PCC). Of course the other inspiration for my
love of computers was my dad's workplace (where among other things, I
used the first electronic calculator).
