So it is someone being nasty. It was annoying, to say the least.
2 days without e-mail. Nearly the whole time without lugnet/rtl.
And to cap it all off, Outlook Express crashed while downloading
messages......lost the whole configuration, and subscription info
for 24+ newsgroups. Though I am sure it was unrelated, it did mean
I had to redo everything, re-download 5000 message headers just so
that I can mark them as read. Even though all of the original
messages were still in the cache, and I could just copy/paste/rename
to match up new with old, there were too many files there to make
it practical! What a week I have been having.......
(My car is falling apart too. Exhaust fell off while driving on the
motorway, then the rearview mirror fell off, now a headlight has
stopped working.....) oh, and a friend is getting married, but not
to me.
