   (...) Another one: people in the US often seem to use to the phrase "write me" which I assume means "write to me". Any idea where this comes from? I've always understood those shorthandings (of which there are soooo many in Dutch that I can't possibly follow any but the most rudimentary conversations even after eight months) have (...)
