There's a specific procedure for overruling an amendment. One that no
congresscritter, no matter how liberal, has the guts to try to
initiate.
Unfortunately, nothing can prevent them from working towards the same
goal with stupid little regulations that, ultimately, will have little
effect on people who are already not paying attention to the law.
Sure, they can make it close to impossible (or at least very
inconvenient) for ME to buy a gun or ammunition. They can do very
little to stop gang members or other crooks from doing the same.
Or has the farce of prohibition been forgotten already?
