Slow motion thought.  I had to dredge back in my memory to come up with
Ahura-Mazda for Zoroastrianism, and that it dances the line on monotheism.
Found the following:

"Ahura Mazda is not the only god in the universe of Zoroastrianism, and he
is not the sole creator of the world. Ahura Mazda is the father of two twin
spirits, Spenta Mainyu and Angra Mainyu, the former the holy spirit, the
latter the destructive one, also known as Ahriman. It appears that Ahura
Mazda came to be identified with Spenta Mainyu."

"The conceptions of Ahura Mazda changed dramatically over time, probably
with an orientation away from the dualism of early Zoroastrianism, into
monotheism. It was relatively soon considered that Ahura Mazda had created
heaven and earth, and that he was the creator of social structures,
protector of kings and all righteous people. The other deities, the pantheon
of which one believes that Zarathustra once had taken Ahura Mazda and
defined him into an elevated position, were considered the creation of Ahura
Mazda. This is to some extent a monotheistic view, in which it is one god
only to which existence is credited, yet the world is run by the power of
other gods than only the one supreme."

Yeah, just denying his brother, Rotary Mazda.  :-)
(my mnemonic device for remembering Ahura Mazda)

(...) Ack, "Muhammadism" is a lousy term. It's a coinage of 18/19th-C. Orientalism, designed to denigrate Islam by reducing it to its Prophet. Muslims don't believe Muhammad was a (er, the) deity. They *do* deny Jesus's inherent divinity, but not (...) (24 years ago, 6-Dec-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)
