I think it is obvious that christianity (and of course any other
religion like Islam and the others) are "supportable", and again all of
them has great influences on the known history, but this does not mean
they are "reasonable" or "rational" or based on things that really
exists. And of course one can get the impression of the thing that being
not "inactive" is believers of the religions, not the ultimate ruler
perhaps. Which was the real point I guess.

From the other part of your messages, you said something like, without
the christianity (I think you use this word instead of religion)
population would be a nasty one, supposed to be detoriate and crush, and
further you added, although you knew very nice persons who were also
atheists, for the general public, lack of a supreme being means
permission to every thing which means an ethical chaos, and this kind of
chaos only be avoided by believing a supreme being. Sorry but I don't
think this is not a wise idea, since religion can not stop people from
doing nasty things, too, although there is a supreme being and a
ultimate punishment called hell. Nasty people can made very interesting
synthesis between their religious beliefs and their nasty work. I think
we must have a better world with billions of believers around if the
"belief in god" can hold much water as it supposed to be.

As a matter of fact this kind of reasoning to become a good person just
seems to ridiculous to me. It's just like being a hard working employee
just since the boss is looking from the upper window, not because of the
self respect and satisfaction of being a useful and successful being.
