Both of you have made my point very clearly - namely this, you cannot fix a
problem until you are able to both realize and accept it's root.

Just for the record, I think it's worth noting that John and I arrived at
our conclusions from widely divergent convictions; John's faith is
apparently stronger than mine, but thoughtful rhetorical consideration,
paired with a fair perception of man's behavior, can yield similar results.

Agreed, yet the outcome is the same.

Interestingly enough, we have an unintentional answer to the "God" debate
straight from Big Lar himself:

Heh.  For good or ill, that's kind of a restating of the long-lived
Ontological Argument for God's Existence.

Yet, as far as I understand it, the Ontological Argument is more about the
nature of existence not whether the thing exists in the first place. As
such, the existence of the thing is already a foregone conclusion. As my
reference to Lar's observation above indicates: someone who has not
witnessed a thing cannot refute someone who has. I don't believe that the
existence of God is a theoretical or "a priori" metaphysical matter. It is a
matter that is quite substantial. The problem is this: one does not seek
answers to mathematics from a literary coach any more than you would seek
Hawaii in the Atlantic. Those who have not found God have not sought him in
the right place.
